SURVEY
In my previous email I included a link for a survey regarding your choices about pickleball parties. We have only received about 80 responses from our roster of over 400 players. Please submit the quick 2 question survey from the link below if you have not done so already so we know your preferences. DEADLINE IS FRIDAY 9/27 AT NOON. We are planning our 1st party on Wednesday, October 30, 4:00-6:00 pm

JUST FOR FUN LEAGUE
League play will start on Monday 10/14. I have only heard from 1 player willing to be the captain of JFF groups, so we need 5 others.
Jan Mercer-Rose has volunteered to captain the Friday ladies 2.0-3.0 group.
Please look at the schedule below and volunteer for a group that you plan to play in. Though we only need one name for each group, the captain can find other volunteers to help if they can't attend certain sessions. Though being a captain is not difficult, only requiring a bit of organization, without a defined leader the groups become chaotic during the busy season. During the 1st week I will try to help acclimate any new captains.
Mon: Mens Doubles, 3.0-
Tues: Mixed Doubles 3.5+
Wed: Mixed Doubles 3.0-
Thurs: Womens Doubles 3.5+
Fri: Womens Doubles 3.0-: Jan Mercer-Rose
Sat Mens Doubles 3.5+
CLASSES
The Stouffer free pickleball classes will start Saturday 10/19, scheduled on Saturday mornings 8:30-10:00 am on court 5. They will start with beginner and improving adult (the introductory sessions for experienced players) classes. So far I have received 1 request for a beginner lesson and 10 for improving adult.
Please let me know if you want to schedule a class and when you are available to take it. The classes are 4 players each and must be scheduled through me:
no walk ons.
GROUPS
A few group leaders have notified me about starting their reservations:
Intermediate Ladies: Tuesdays starting Tuesday November 12, 3:00-5:00 pm, 4 courts (increasing to 6 courts in January). Robby Elias
Beginner Practice: Wednesdays, ongoing, 8:00-9:00am at 2 court facility. Allie
Intermediate Men: Wednesdays starting Wednesday November 6, 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm, 4 courts . Budzoo Girod
Advanced Ladies: Fridays starting Friday, November 1, 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm, 4-6 courts. Jean Isaacs
The captain of last year's men's advanced group cannot lead the group this year. If anyone in that group is willing to take this over, let me know, giving me the day and time requested, start date, and # of courts needed.
Last year a player mentioned that skills/drill sessions might be a good addition. In the past there was a ladies skills group which was very helpful. Is anyone willing to captain this? This could be a mixed group or just one gender.
As the travel leagues commence in the winter, some group reservations may need to be altered occasionally if there are league home games that conflict.
